Position Overview:
The Benefits Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the National DCP
Healthcare program. This role will be responsible for administering the Medical, Dental, Vision, Life,
Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health
Savings Accounts (HSAs), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and Wellness Benefits.
Schedule: Remote/Hybrid, working onsite in the Duluth, GA Corporate office.

What you will do:
1. Ensure Health and Welfare plans are administered in accordance with federal and state
regulations and plan provisions are followed.
2. Administer employee benefits programs such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, FSA, HSA, EAP
and Wellness Benefits.
3. Conduct new hire benefit orientations and explain the benefits self-enrollment system.
4. Send initial COBRA Notice and reminder postcards to new hires.
5. Maintain self-enrollment system and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately.
6. Identify new employees who are eligible for benefits and work with new employees to ensure timely
enrollment. Obtain waiver forms from eligible employees who are declining benefit coverage.
7. Identify employees who have elected dependent coverage but have not submitted the proper
dependent verification documents.
8. Audit employee contributions and ensure accurate recordkeeping relative to eligibility, status,
changes, terminations, etc.
9. Coordinate and assist with preparing open enrollment communication for employees.
10. Ensure terminations are timely communicated to COBRA vendor.
11. Act as liaison between employees and insurance companies to resolve any benefit-related issues.
12. Work with Leave Specialist and Workers Compensation Specialist to accurately process all health
plan premiums for employees on Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), Personal Leave or other
company leaves.
13. Assist Leave Specialist with administrative tasks associated with leaves.
14. All other duties as assigned.
Supervision Exercised
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
What you bring:
1. Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
2. Minimum of two years’ experience administering employee benefit plans in the health and
welfare areas preferred.
3. Experience with an online enrollment Human Resources Management System; ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred
4. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
5. Experience with enrollment and vendor communication
6. Knowledge and understanding of insurance regulations, plan designs, and third-party record
keeping/administration required
7. Knowledge of COBRA, ERISA, PPACA, and related state and federal regulations required
8. Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
9. Ability to prioritize and a strong sense of urgency
