SCHEDULE: Saturday - Wednesday, 11:00 am – 7:30pm

Position overview:

 

The Routing Analyst will be responsible for analyzing our outbound logistics program to determine the most cost effective and efficient means of transporting customer orders for current business and potential future business. Must have current experience in the Transportation or Logistics area to apply for this position.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:  

 

  • Execute daily tactical routing plans for all regions and distribution points.
  • Resolve external and internal customer routing issues.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor management reports that measure the cost effectiveness of the routing and the utilization of the software.
  • Analyze, present, and measure the financial impact of proposed outbound logistics changes at all divisions.
  • Analyze and implement improvements to internal or external outbound logistics systems and processes.
  • As the business changes with seasonal variations in demand, partner with individual regions to make the necessary adjustments to their routing to continue to maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate outbound logistics with business systems and processes.
  • Customer Focus - exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization. Strong ability to take the initiative and be proactive when resolving issues.
  • Problem solving - Strong problem-solving skills and experience with following a well-defined process when troubleshooting.

  • Communication - excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening) plus technical writing skills.

  • Priority Setting - spends his/her time and the time of others on what's important; quickly zeros in on the critical few. 
  • Payroll tracking, entering, and oversight daily/weekly
  • Control-Tower route debrief reporting to ensure issues and feedback are reacted to timely

Qualifications

Qualifications you bring: 

 

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent preferred
  • 3-5 years of related experience within a transportation and logistics environment
  • General knowledge of WMS/TMS software required
  • Experience with Manhattan & Appian preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Advanced)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Familiarity with SAP preferred
  • Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong written and oral communications skills as well as exceptional customer service
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Must have current experience in the Transportation or Logistics area to apply for this position.
