Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday

Hybrid: In office, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Position overview:

 

Under the direction of the General Ledger Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant is a key member of our general ledger team and is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the financial statements. 

 

Key accounting functions of the position include journal entry preparation, financial statement analysis, account reconciliations, and month-end close.    

 

Must be a self-starter who can take general direction and then work independently to create and improve accounting processes and resolve issues. 

 

The Senior Accountant will be expected to gain a thorough understanding of our organization and business, P&L and balance sheet accounts, and serve as a corporate partner to other departments and functions.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

What you’ll do  

 

The Senior Accountant will have oversight of the following responsibilities:

  • Maintain Accounting ASC842 entries in Co-Sta lease database. Review all lease agreements and enter into Co-Star on a timely basis
  • Prepare ASC842 journal entries monthly and record in SAP
  • Manage the company’s database of fixed assets; including approving additions, transfers, and disposals
  • Facilitate and complete period close procedures, which includes account analysis and journal entries
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with analyzing financial statements on a period basis and report on variances between actual and budget
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Assist with financial and tax audits
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different functions across the organization
  • Other projects as assigned

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications you bring: 

 

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • ASC842 experience required
  • CPA license or CPA track preferred
  • 5-7 years accounting/finance experience 
  • Highly detailed oriented and organized in work
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
  • SAP experience
  • Advanced Microsoft excel skills
