Overview

The Associate Inventory Buyer coordinates and plans inventory purchases to support overall inventory and procurement functions within the NDCP system. The Associate Inventory Buyer will work closely with internal and external partners to support overall business requirements throughout the NDCP organization.

 

Schedule: Monday through Friday- Full-Time

This position can work remotely, initial training will be held in Duluth, GA, onsite

Responsibilities

  1. Review and plan inventory positions based on demand, supplier capabilities, code dates, warehouse needs and capacity through placement of NDCP purchase orders for all NDCP distribution locations.
  2. Manage daily business relationship and interaction with all suppliers in assigned category.
  3. Assist in executing LTO and permanent product launches for products within category. This includes active participation in discussion for supplier production, NDCP inventory planning and Dunkin Brand updates.
  4. Maintain open line of communication with all category suppliers to insure inventory availability and on time deliveries.
  5. Interact daily with Operations and Transportation teams in all facilities to help resolve receiving issues, delivery discrepancies, and other inventory related topics.
  6. Responsible for maintaining business metrics (Inventory DOH/Stock Levels/Fill Rate) that are required to service the business needs of DBI.
  7. Place purchase orders on time and compliant with supplier and freight lead time requirements.
  8. Responsible for maintaining ERP system integrity on all item and supplier level data within assigned category.

Supervision Exercised

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.                                                                                                                           
  • 1-2 Years’ experience in a related position.
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • SAP experience preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and to view a computer screen for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifteen (15) pounds
