Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Support Specialist to assist Project Managers in overseeing consolidated project packages for new store openings and remodels. This role will be responsible for managing dropship purchase orders (POs), tracking project progress, maintaining documentation, and ensuring timely execution of all project-related tasks. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, organized with attention to detail, problem-solver, and team player who can work independently and collaboratively to keep projects on track and resolve issues proactively.

Restaurant Solutions has procurement and supply chain responsibilities for indirect products and services, such as kitchen equipment, smallwares, custom fabrication, distribution, and consolidation programs, construction materials, furnishings, lighting, signs, and store-level services.

The Project Support Specialist will report directly to the Associate Director, Restaurant Solutions.

Location: NDCP Corporate office located in Duluth, GA.

 

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm ( 1 day in office for team building on Wednesday)

Compensation: Competitive salary with bonus potential. Paid weekly

Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination & Support
  • Assist Project Managers in executing consolidated project packages, including millwork, stainless steel, equipment, and smallwares.
  • Issue, track, and expedite dropship POs, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Handle vendor communication and procurement requests related to project needs.
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Identify potential roadblocks and escalate issues to Project Managers.
  • Project Timelines & Planning
  • Assist in developing and managing project timelines and plans, ensuring adherence to schedules.
  • Track project progress against standard timelines and milestones.
  • Maintain and update calendars and schedules to support timely completion of tasks.
  • Track key project metrics and report status updates to stakeholders.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Create, maintain, and organize project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of project files and records.
  • Support invoice reconciliation by tracking credits, backorders, and punch list items for project close-outs.
  • Maintain up-to-date reports on procurement, deliveries, and outstanding tasks.
  • Issue Resolution & Escalation
  • Monitor and escalate project-related issues that could impact timelines, budgets, or quality.
  • Work closely with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and delays.
  • Assist with follow-ups on outstanding items to ensure timely resolution and project closure.
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in procurement or supply chain team support role considered
  • 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, supply chain, procurement, or related field
  • Ability to review architectural drawings and provide take offs.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products required (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Smartsheet and SAP experience preferred
  • High attention to detail, organization, and quality of work
  • Team player, service oriented, with excellent relationship development skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task with limited supervision to accomplish set deliverables
  • Able to adapt to rapidly changing situations and priorities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Dedicated, collaborative, and proactive

 

Supervision Exercised

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities

 

Other Requirements

  • Limited amount of travel may be required 

 

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and to view a computer screen for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifteen (15) pounds
