Overview

Support the transportation safety department.  Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general office work, computer data entry, reporting, paperwork accuracy verification, DC performance reporting and DC support.

 

Position:Fleet and Safety Administrative Assistant

Location: Duluth, GA

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Compensation: Hourly pay with bonus potential. Paid weekly. 

 

 

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare comprehensive reports using Microsoft Excel on regular basis.
  2. Prepare comprehensive reports using JJKeller CSA Performance Suite.
  3. Prepare comprehensive reports using Motive platform to include, but are not limited to:
    • Open events
    • Coaching effectiveness
    • Safety Performance
    • Driver Safety Score
    • Fleet Safety Score
    • Safety Events
    • Vehicle Fuel Performance
    • Equipment Utilization
    • HOS Weekley Reporting
  4. Annual Licensing, IRP registration.
  5. Work closely with local and corporate Fleet Systems Champions. Provide information related to impending system/hardware changes, updates and or enhancements.  Mentor and guide all active team members while ensuring companywide fleet health. 
  6. Researching and compiling various safety, performance related data.
  7. Attend meetings and record minutes, as needed.
  8. Assess the urgency and importance of situations and take appropriate action. Handle confidential information discreetly and professionally.
  9. Work independently and within a team on special events and/or ongoing projects.
  10. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the senior leadership team.

Supervision Exercised

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel).
  3. General knowledge of WMS/TMS software, Manhattan, Motive & Ortec, JJKeller preferred.
  4. High-volume Data Entry experience.
  5. Strong organizational and follow-up skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving.
  9. Proven ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  10. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  11. Critical thinking skills, and the ability to anticipate what needs to be done and executes accordingly with a sense of urgency.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and to view a computer screen for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifteen (15) pounds
